Apply a promotion code at checkout
Enter an ALLO promotion code when starting a paid subscription, verify the discount, and fix a code that is not accepted.
A promotion code has done its job only when the checkout total changes. Entering a code is not proof that it applied, so pause on the price summary and check the discount before you pay.
This article is for a new paid subscription. Most new purchases use ALLO's checkout page, where you can enter a promotion code or review an offer carried by a promotional link.
Check access before you start
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Who can complete checkout | A workspace admin starting the paid subscription |
| Available on | Web app and desktop app |
| Where to start | The complete ALLO promotional link you received, or Pricing |
| What proves the discount | A discount in the checkout summary before payment |
If you are not a workspace admin, send the code or promotional link to an admin. Do not change someone's workspace role only to test an offer.
Apply the code during a new purchase
- Open the complete promotional link you received. If you only received a code, open Pricing and choose the intended plan and billing interval.
- Sign in or create an account when asked, then continue with the workspace that should own the subscription.
- Before leaving ALLO, confirm that you are working in the intended workspace. In checkout, verify the ALLO plan, billing interval, currency, and quantity.
- If you received a standalone code, open the promotion-code field, enter the code exactly as issued, and apply it. If you followed a promotional link, skip this step.
- Find the discount in the price summary and check the final amount due.
- Complete payment only when the expected discount appears.
If the summary does not change, stop before payment. Recheck the code and the selected offer instead of assuming the discount will be added afterward.
When a promotional link applies the offer for you
An ALLO promotional link can carry the offer from Pricing into checkout. Open the complete link without editing it. If sign-in or account creation is required, finish that step and continue from the same offer.
When the offer is already applied, checkout can show the discount without showing another promotion-code field. Do not enter the code a second time. Check the discount and final total in the price summary instead.
If the discount is missing, stop before payment and reopen the original complete link.
If ALLO shows its own upgrade page instead
Existing subscription changes and some add-on purchases can open an ALLO upgrade page rather than the new-purchase checkout. If the offer you received explicitly applies to that change, select Apply a coupon, enter the code in Enter code, and select Apply. Continue only after Coupon applied appears and Credits / Discount changes in the invoice preview.
This is the exception, not the normal path for a new subscription. A code issued for a new purchase does not become valid for an existing subscription or add-on just because the upgrade page accepts text.
When a code does not apply
The code is invalid, expired, or inactive. Re-enter the customer-facing code exactly as it was issued. If the error remains, ask the sender to confirm that the offer is still active.
The selected offer does not match the code. Return to Pricing and match the plan, billing interval, and currency named in the offer before applying the code again.
The offer is only for a new subscription. It cannot be added to a workspace that already has an active paid subscription. Do not cancel an existing subscription just to retry it.
The offer has another eligibility restriction. A promotion can be limited to a customer's first transaction, require a minimum purchase amount, belong to one billing customer, apply only to selected products, expire on a fixed date, or stop after a maximum number of redemptions. Match checkout to the terms you received. Re-entering the same code does not bypass a restriction.
The code looks accepted, but no discount appears. Do not pay. The discount line and final amount in the checkout summary are the proof that the offer applied.
Contact Support before paying the wrong amount
Use Contact support when the offer should qualify but the discount stays missing, a promotional link loses its offer, or the final amount does not match the terms you received. Include the workspace name, selected plan, billing interval, currency, promotion code, exact error message, time of the attempt, and a screenshot of the summary before payment.
Never share a full card number, security code, bank credentials, or password in chat or email. Support can investigate the promotion without full card details.
