Organize Starred

Arrange your personal shortcuts

Starred sections group the work you reopen from the Home sidebar. Their names, order, and contents are saved for you in the current workspace. Organizing them does not change the original resources or another person's sidebar.

Create or rename a section

To create a section:

1. Expand the sidebar.
2. Select + beside Starred.
3. Enter the section name.
4. Select Add.

To rename one, open ... beside its title, select Rename, edit the name, and select Save. The default section cannot be renamed or deleted.

Select a section title to collapse or expand its items. Collapsing a section keeps its shortcuts in place.

Reorder sections

Use a mouse in the full sidebar:

1. Point to the section title itself.
2. Drag the title up or down.
3. Release it at the desired position.

Collapsed sections can also be reordered. The + and ... buttons are controls, not drag handles. The icon-only Starred popover does not support reordering; expand the sidebar to change section or item order.

Touch dragging is disabled so the sidebar remains easy to scroll. Organize sections and items with a mouse on a computer.

Reorder or move items

Expand the source and destination sections before moving an item. Then drag the item to its new position within the same section, or release it inside another expanded section. Using an expanded destination makes cross-section moves reliable.

There is no menu command for reordering. If dragging does nothing, check whether you started from the section title or a contained item: titles move whole sections, while items move shortcuts. The item remains grouped in its destination section after the new order is saved.

Remove an item or section

Open an item's overflow menu, or right-click it, and select Unstar. This removes only the Starred shortcut.

To remove a custom section, open ... beside its title and select Remove. An empty section is removed immediately. If it contains shortcuts, confirm the deletion; every shortcut in that section is removed from Starred. The underlying projects, canvases, or OKR work remain intact.

Move any shortcuts you want to keep into another section before removing a nonempty section.

If dragging or saving fails

Check these details before retrying:

• You are working in the full sidebar, not the icon-only popover.
• You are using a mouse, not touch.
• You grabbed the section title to move a section, or the contained item to move a shortcut.
• The destination section is expanded for an item move.

Refresh ALLO once if the order looks stale, then repeat the gesture. If the problem continues, contact support with your app or browser, operating system, the gesture that failed, and a screenshot or short recording.
