Use Page framework

Page framework lets you reuse one page from a template without rebuilding its objects. The result depends on where you open it: on a page canvas, it applies a template page to the page flow; on a freeform whiteboard, it adds that page's editable objects to the board you already have.

This distinction matters. One route can replace a current page, while the other leaves every existing board object in place.

Choose the result you need

Page framework requires edit permission. It is not an object action, and it does not appear in a read-only canvas.

Apply a framework to a page canvas

Use this route when the open canvas already has a page sequence and you want one template page inside that sequence.

1. Open the page that should receive the framework.
2. Choose Page framework from the page header or the prompt on an empty page.

The Page framework control sits above the current page. On an empty page, the prompt offers the same route before you add other content.

1. Select a template.
2. Select the template page you want to apply.
3. If ALLO asks how to continue, choose Add as new page or Replace.

The picker first helps you find the template, then shows the pages inside it. Choose the page that belongs in the current sequence, not the whole template as a new canvas.

An empty, unchanged page accepts the framework directly. When the current page already contains work or page changes, the confirmation protects that work:

• Add as new page creates a page after the current page, then applies the selected template page there.
• Replace removes the current page's objects, then applies the selected template page to that page.

The applied framework includes the page's editable objects and its supported page properties, including its title, background, and dimensions when those properties are stored in the template.

The confirmation makes the two outcomes explicit before ALLO changes the page.

For ordinary page actions such as adding, duplicating, folding, resizing, or deleting pages, use the page menu. Page framework is not part of the normal page-canvas right-click menu.

Insert a framework into a freeform whiteboard

Use this route when you want the useful structure from one template page inside an editable freeform whiteboard, without replacing the board or creating another canvas.

1. Right-click an empty board area where the framework should begin.
2. Choose Page framework.

The freeform board exposes Page framework from its empty-area context menu. Object menus and page-canvas menus use different actions.

1. Select a template.
2. Select the template page you want to insert.

The freeform picker uses the same template library, so you can reuse the page structure without turning the board into a page sequence.

ALLO places that page's editable objects at the point where you originally right-clicked. Existing objects remain where they are. This action does not create or replace a top-level canvas, does not add or replace a page, and does not copy the template page's title, background, or dimensions onto the board.

The inserted content stays editable and appears at the saved board location, even though you choose it from a picker elsewhere on screen.

If the selected template content includes a sub-canvas, ALLO copies the connected child canvas with that object. The child is part of the selected content, not a new top-level page.

The blank Freeform canvas option belongs to canvas creation. It is not an insertable layout, so it does not appear as a Page framework choice.

Know where the action does not appear

Page framework has narrow entry points by design:

• A normal right-click on a page canvas opens page actions, not Page framework.
• Right-clicking an object opens the object menu, not Page framework.
• Right-clicking a slide or page thumbnail does not offer Page framework.
• A freeform whiteboard shows it only after you right-click an empty board area.
• View-only and comment-only access do not show the editing action.

On a page canvas, use the Page framework control on the page itself. On a freeform whiteboard, clear the object selection and right-click empty space.

Choose Page framework or create a new canvas

Creating a canvas from a template starts a separate editable canvas. Use that route when the template should become its own piece of work.

When Page framework looks wrong

Page framework is missing on a page canvas. Use the Page framework control on the current page or its empty-page prompt. It is not in the normal page right-click menu. Confirm that you have edit permission.

Page framework is missing on a freeform whiteboard. Clear any object selection, then right-click an empty area of the board. The action does not appear from an object menu, a slide, or a read-only view.

The blank Freeform canvas choice is missing from the picker. This is expected. Blank Freeform canvas creates a canvas; it is not a page layout that Page framework can insert.

The current page is about to be replaced. Choose Add as new page in the confirmation if the existing page must stay. Replace is the destructive choice for the current page's objects.

Inserted objects are not near the picker. On a freeform whiteboard, placement follows the original right-click point, not the picker window. Return to that board area to find the inserted content.

Templates or page previews do not load. Close the picker and open Page framework again. If the problem continues, confirm that the canvas is editable before trying another template.
